Can puppies be perfect in 7 days?

I caution that the title is somewhat misleading: As I’m sure most new puppy owners will attest, you will soon discover it is near impossible to have a perfect puppy in 7 days. And you will find that the book does not in fact provide a daily schedule to follow over the course of a week to achieve such a goal, nor do the various training tips follow a sequential program.

Regardless of the misleading title, if you stick to the advice outlined therein, any puppy owner can in 7 days develop a good foundation for their puppy upon which to build all other training and learning, which makes the book a worthwhile read.

What’s inside

For the price of roughly 500PHP, it is definitely worth it to buy this book for all the information contained within. The e-book is filled with plenty of pictures and diagrams to supplement the text, and it also provides references and other training resources to help you continue your training beyond the contents of the book. Dr. Yin also describes here her Learn-to-Earn Training Program and provides an example of what a typical day for a puppy looks like when this program is applied. In addition, a handy Socialization Checklist helps you determine if you’re on track with your puppy’s early socialization activities.

Personally, I found this book very useful for developing a guide for my training students to follow for the potty training of their own pups. Dr. Yin explains the do’s and don’ts in great detail and all that is left is for the owner to stick to the program to be successful with potty training.

If you are a new puppy owner with a limited knowledge of dog training this book will introduce you to the basics in science-based, force free training methods which are easy to apply and which will help you teach your pup to be a well-mannered and obedient dog.

Is this book for you?

I would recommend this book to all new puppy owners to keep as an easy-to-access reference during their pups early development. Even dog owners who’ve had dogs for a while but who are getting a new puppy will benefit from a review of the essential puppy-raising points contained in this e-book.

Dr. Yin’s Perfect Puppy in 7 Days is a treasure chest of puppy training advice. But do bear in mind that training a puppy takes time and patience, and any advice on puppy-raising no matter how good can only help if you actually apply it. If you have the time to devote to training your puppy and are looking for steps on how to go about it, then this book is definitely for you.
